I don't ever remember seeing Romolo without a smile! His happiness was infectious to every life he touched.
From the first time we met, he was always happy doing whatever he happend to be doing.
While Romolo was agressivly seeking the American Dream, he did hat he needed to do to become a Facilities Mechanic. It did not take AA management long to recognize his ability and gifts. Within a few short months be was promoted to Lead Facilities Mechanic. Whether it was personal or professional Romolo had the Charisma and skills to bring people together and incite them to get along.
I was often jealous of his gift of helping people get along with each other. He was always eager to extend a hand to those in need. It wasn't just a select few it was to everyone.
Romolo was a self professed match maker. He once told me that every man needs a wife and every woman needs a husband. Before I married, he would say "come to the house for dinner, and I will give you a square back haircut, and you will get married"
Though Romolo had the drive to succeed, he never abandoned his roots or his religion. He believed in Family, and loved Louisa, his children and his grandchildren very much.
In later years,I did not get to see Romolo as much as I would have liked, but, during his illness we did speak often, and I could hear and see the smile on his face. I will miss my friend Romolo, and I do pray that God will provide peace, comfort and understanding to his wife Louisa and his family.
My thoughts ad prayers are with you,
Sal Croce
